.SHORT TERM...Today through Monday night...A cold front has
moved through the area and erroded the stratus in most places
from Burns to Ontario to Boise, with lingering stratus over
Baker County and upper Treasure Valley east of Boise to the
Magic Valley. Low clouds and fog will linger over the Magic
Valley today with a weak convergence zone keeping clouds over
that part of the Snake Basin. Dry air will continue to move into
the area and should errode most of the stratus by this
afternoon mostly clear skies late. High clouds will stream into
eastern OR on Sunday and Monday, but continued dry. A slight
warming trend expected on Sunday and Monday but temperatures
will be around 5 degrees below normal in the short term.
.LONG TERM...Tuesday through Saturday...A ridge will build over
the area on Tuesday and Wednesday with a temperature inversion
strengthening. A couple of systems approach the Pacific NW but
weaken as they move inland with high clouds expected. Shower
chances remain at 10 percent or lower in the extended period.
Temperatures will slowly warm to near normal in the valleys with
above normal temperatures in the mountains.

.AVIATION...MVFR stratus in the valleys generally below 5000
feet MSL near KBKE KTWF KJER KMUO KGNG, otherwise VFR. Surface
winds light becoming NW 5-10kt during the afternoon. Winds aloft
at 10kft MSL: NW-NE 20-30kt.
KBOI...VFR. Light winds becoming NW 5-10kt during afternoon.
Sunday Outlook...VFR. Patchy fog in the mountain valleys Sunday
morning. Light winds.
